The Who Are Headlining This Christmas Carol Concert In Chelsea

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend from The Who will headline a charity carol concert this December, raising money for music therapy charity, Nordoff Robbins.

The greenfingered Brexiter frontman and no-longer-tends-to-smash-up-his-guitar guitarist will perform at St Luke's Church in Chelsea on Tuesday 13 December, although don't hold out for a deafening axe solo mid-Bleak Midwinter — this'll be an acoustic performance.

If you're wondering if The Who ever did a Christmas song themselves, yes they did — it appears on the 1969 album Tommy, and is called... Christmas.

While the two Who legends are headlining, the Nordoff Robbins Carol Service promises a lineup of various  celebrity readings, peppered in-between traditional Christmas carols. There'll also be mulled wine and mince pies.

The Nordoff Robbins Carol Service, St Luke's Church, Chelsea, 13 December, tickets £55+booking
