Colour Scene have announced that their new single, ‘Doodle Book’, will be
released on 20th May.
‘Doodle
Book’ is the second single to be taken from their recent album, ‘Painting’,
which was released in February.
Stereoboard.com describe it as, “A sublimely
crafted and infectiously groovy tune with a lively Northern Soul feel, the
track was written by Steve Cradock and Andy Crofts of The Moons – who is also,
along with Steve, a member of Paul Weller’s band.”
Ocean
Colour Scene have just finished a sell-out run of shows across the UK. During
April, they travel to sunny Spain for an eight-date tour before getting geared
up for a multitude of festivals in the UK.
So far
these include T-In The Park in July, and a bumper August with Cheshire Carfest
(3rd), Tewksbury Lakefest (9th), Devon’s Beautiful Days (16th) V Festival
(17/18th) and Hampshire Carfest (24th) all lined-up.
