The London Modernist Literary Event



The London Modernist Literary Event takes place on Saturday 7th February 2015. It’s described as ‘an afternoon of mod related authors talking about their books and inspirations behind their work’.  

It features: - 

Mark Baxter (The Mumper, A to Z of Mod)

Paul ‘Smiler‘ Anderson (Mods: The New Religion)

Simon Wells (Quadrophenia a Way of Life and Butterfly on a Wheel)

Stuart Deabill (Thick as Thieves: Personal Situations with The Jam and From Ronnie’s To Ravers)

Terry Rawlings (Mod: Clean Living Under Very Difficult Circumstances – A Very British Phenomenon and Brian Jones – The Final Truth)

John Hellier (Quite Naturally: The Small Faces and Steve Marriott: All Too Beautiful)

Ian Snowball (In the Blood and Dexys Midnight Runners: The Team That Dreams in Caffs)

Jason Brummell (All Or Nothing and All About My Girl) 

And Special Guest is The Jam’s Rick Buckler who will be discussing his autobiography due out in 2015 and will take part in a Q&A with the audience. 

Each writer will sign copies of their books after their performance in the foyer. 

Doors open at 11.45am and the first author will be on stage at 12.15pm. The venue is The Cockpit, Gateforth Street, Marylebone, London NW8 8EH. Tickets cost £15 - full details via the following URL: -
