The Visitor, “Talking ‘bout mods and rockers generation”

The Visitor reports, "A night celebrating the music and fashion of hit film Quadrophenia is coming to Morecambe.

The Trimpell Club will host a Quadrophenia club night on Friday, January 30 with live bands, DJ and a big screen film show.

Music comes from The Atlantics playing the hits of the film including Louie Louie, You Really Got Me, Green Onions, Da Doo Ron Ron, Be My Baby, My Generation and more.

Drew Stansall, ex-saxophonist from The Specials, will spin the best in ska, two-tone, 60s, soul and mod.

Quadrophenia, the 1979 film based on the ‘rock opera’ stage show of 1973 by rock band The Who, starred Phil Daniels, Ray Winstone, Leslie Ash and Sting. It tells the story of Jimmy (Daniels), disillusioned by his parents and a job as a post room boy in an advertising firm.

Then Jimmy finds an outlet for his teenage angst with his Mod friends.

Tickets cost £10. They are available from the club or call Gary Butler 07814107525 or the Trimpell on 01524 412984."
