Signcraft design and install Art Wood artwork at The Art Wood Apartments

A prominent musician and jazz/blues singer in the London area during the late 50s and early 60s... Arthur Wood, known as Art, performed with Alexis Korner and a number of artistes who rose to fame with groups such as Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones and The Faces, including Rod Stewart.

The Art Wood Apartments is a tribute to the man who was famous amongst 60s R&B bands - there is a list on one of the walls in the reception area.

Art semi-retired from music to start up a graphic design company with his older brother Ted whilst their younger brother, Ronnie, later joined the Faces and the Stones.

Sadly, Art died of prostrate cancer a few years ago but, thanks to Shepherds Bush housing contractor Bugler and Art's primary school, St. Matthew's, he will be remembered as a local legend.

Signcraft had the privilege of designing, printing and installing the artwork at Art Wood Apartments.
