Heavy Soul! Fanzine issue 40 out in two weeks

HEAVY SOUL ISSUE 40 out in two weeks!!!
Hopefully another good issue for you in #40. A mixture of old and new with Stone Foundation  interviewed on what has been a great year for them – recording with Paul Weller  and having two albums out and one of my favourite singles of the year “Simplify The Situation”. The much travelled DJ Lee Grimshaw also reflects on what’s been a busy year for one of the UKs most sought after 45 spinners.
There’s also a new section where each issue a classic al album is fully reviewed with interviews from those who took part. The first album is Makin’ Time’s 1985 masterpiece “Rhythm & Soul” with Syd and Neil answering the questions.
Ed Silvester recalls the night of the shoot for The Lambretta’s “Go Steady” sleeve with some more pics of the night and finally Chris Free, he of The Sound Of Pop Art recalls his past youth with an interview about iconic late 70s band The Users who Love Child Records have just released the third single by the band – 38 years after it was recorded! It really is “the sound of 1979”
I had the great experience of seeing The Solarflares play on the second of their two night re-union and the night was blistering – full review inside but just a great show – hat off to Steve Worrall of retroman blog for getting it all together – as Graham Day said on the night – Steve is the only reason it all happened. Thanks Steve.

All the usual new, reviews etc and of course the 25 track "Club Sounds" CD
