Heavy Soul Records bring us "The RAWing 60s" 7" series.

Adam Cooper of Heavy Soul Records explains: -

“The whole idea / concept behind this series is to get unheard acetates out onto vinyl for you to enjoy and appreciate. A well-known collector / DJ / Organiser contacted with news of his collection of unissued acetates which he was looking to release onto 7". After hearing the first track he had to offer I was straight in! THE SHADES OF BLUE's unreleased monster "Who's Laughing Now?" is just sublime; sounding like The St Louis Union meets The Birds it is amazing.”

“Where did the name come from and what does it mean? After going through the record collection and shelving idea's like "The Shake It Series" and "The Magic Words Series" I needed something to reflect the fact that these recording are nearly fifty years old and only exist on old reel to reel tapes that may have been hanging around lofts since they were recorded, i.e. the sound was RAW - add to that a play on "The Roaring Twenties" and we have "The RAWing 60s" series - I hope you enjoy them.......”
