“Grantham’s Chameleon Bar to host popular Mod and soul night” on 12th October says the Grantham Journal

"Lovers of Mod culture are in for a treat at Chameleon Music Bar, High Street, next Saturday (October 12).

The Easy Beat Club is presenting another night of 1960s northern soul, R&B, ska, Motown and Mod revival, with live music coming in the shape of Sheffield combo The Modfellas.

Following the success of Easy Beat’s first event in April, the club’s organisers decided to look for a larger venue and – with its purpose-built sound and lighting set-up – Chameleon fitted the bill.

DJs Martin and Joel will aim to keep dancers on their feet all night, playing the best in Mod, soul and ska around the live band’s two sets.

Formed in 2007, The Modfellas have a passion for all things Mod. Musically they say they are influenced by the Small Faces, The High Numbers (The Who), The Kinks, northern soul, and more recently The Jam and Paul Weller. Singer Marcus said: “This is both musically and personally where I want to be.”

The evening runs from 7.30pm until 3am. Entry is £5 on the door."
