The Sha La La’s ‘Feelin’ Real’ (PA029) 10—track CD + iTunes release out on Paisley Archive today

Detour Records are proud to announce their latest release on the ‘Paisley Archive’ label: -

“After forming back in 2011, this band from Woking started off life as a three piece and have gained a loyal fan base all around the UK.

Being a three piece and from Woking they were always compared to be yet another Jam wanna be band!! HOWEVER, being compared to one of the best bands in the world is NO bad thing BUT this band’s only comparison to the Jam is their home town.

Earlier this year they recruited a Hammond Organ player which gives the band a fuller sound which compliments the soulful voice of Darron Robinson.

I hate to pigeonhole bands but if I had to describe them I would say “The soulful lyrics and harmonies of The Action’ but with the suss of ‘The Redskins’ while being signed to Paul Weller's ‘Respond Label’…. There are other influences here too, from Dr Feelgood right back to Stax and Tamla Motown- hence the band’s apt ‘somewhere between Detroit and Canvey Island’ maxim, with ‘The Sha La La’s’ doing Wilko Johnson’s legacy no disrespect whatsoever?"

Track Listing: -

Feelin’ Real / Something I Can’t See / Get Up On Yourself / Out Of My Head / Twenty Five / Losin’ It / Can’t Stop Losin’ You / Missin’ Words / If You Can’t Stop (Don’t Start) / (Keep On) Risin’ Up To Love
