Plastic Pop Records release Penny Arcade EP and Mannequins Album

Already out on Plastic Pop Records is The Penny Arcade's 'Lesson Learned' EP and that is joined this week by the release of an 11-track album from The Mannequins. They also have quite a release schedule coming up, including a new 4-track EP from The Moment.

Plastic Pop Records says, “The label aims to tap into the rich seam of creativity and release music that captures the heart of British rock and roll. Its manifesto was formed over many an English Summer at the indie/mod website Soho Strut.

Plastic Pop is the next move, combining the integrity and tradition of the great independent labels, like Rough Trade, Creation, Factory and Acid Jazz, taking artists from the grass roots and giving them an outlet, a route to express their voice...

So, if you hear a piece of meaty rock and roll, or a soulful tune that is destined to make the feet move, delivered with a swagger and very British attitude, it might just have been brought to you from this brand new label. Look out for Plastic Pop. They are starting a revolution.”
