The
charity’s Christmas Tree Sessions event encouraged audience members to ‘wear
their best festive sweaters to support Christmas Jumper Day’, and many of the
invited guests were sporting their own Christmas knitwear for the occasion.
“Gaz
Coombes and Paul Weller were brilliant live,” host Lauren Laverne has said.
“Save the Children’s Christmas Tree Sessions was a great night, for a great
cause and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!”
Comedians
Chris Addison, Dom Joly and Peter Serafinowicz also performed on the night,
while Paul Weller has remarked: “What a pleasure to be on stage tonight
performing a few tracks with the orchestra for Save the Children. What a great
cause and let’s hope lots of money is raised”
“Thanks
Save the Children for inviting me to be part of this night – electric
atmosphere and a great crowd,” Gaz Coombes added.
Musicians
