The Hideaway Club returns to Manchester on 30th May for daytime & nightime sessions


After the well attended and received 16th Anniversary 30 May sees the return of the Hideaway at The Old Nags Head, 19 Jacksons Row, off Deansgate Manchester, for another great year. 

Joining the residents (Neil Henderson and Mike Warburton) and regular guest Bill Kealy on this occasion will be: - 

Barry Tasker: One time Pendulum DJ will be returning to his R&B roots. Expect to hear the best of Bobby Bland, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker and Howlin Wolf to name but a few. The authentic 6T's mod club sound. 

Dave Callister Founder of nineties Liverpool Club Move and Groove. Will be playing a wide variety of quality 6T's tunes. Expect to hear everything from the hammond grooves of Jimmy McGriff to the Chicago soul mastery of the impressions.  

There will be two sessions: - 

Daytime: 12.00 to 5.30pm 

This is a free session and will feature guest DJ's and clothes/record stalls. Please feel free to ask for a DJ spot or a table to sell clothes. i can confirm already that John Marriott, Danny Coates, Johnny Monks, and Andrew Melia will be Djing in the afternoon. Other names to follow in the near future.  

Evening 9.00pm to 2.30 am  

Admission £5.00. The Hideaway Club, playing the best of mod era (pre 65) club sounds and new breed R&B. Expect to hear the best of R&B, 6T's soul, hammond grooves, and ska.
