Beatles’ pop art designer to hold Stoke Newington exhibition reports The Hackney Gazette

An exhibition will show some never seen before works from the pop-artist Peter Blake, who co-created the sleeve design for the Beatles’ album Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Pop will showcase some of his rarer, quirkier pieces at the Hang-Up Gallery in Stoke Newington High Street.

From pop-inspired pin-up posters to his nostalgic and unusual alphabet series, the show will celebrate the extraordinary and highlight how Sir Peter’s earlier works continue to inspire his current practice.

The show opens to the public on September 7 and runs until October 27.
