The Courteeners announce new single

The Courteeners have announced a new single 'Are You In Love With A Notion?' from their third album 'ANNA' to be released on 9th December.

The band will also play a final UK headline tour in December, totalling their ticket sales this year to over 100,000 tickets, kicking off in Preston on Monday 2nd December and culminating in a huge homecoming show at Manchester Phones 4U Arena on Friday 13th December.

The band's December tour dates and new single 'Are You In Love With A Notion?' will round off what has been an incredible year for Courteeners.

Their third album 'ANNA' was released in February entering the midweek charts at #1 and charting at #6, giving the band their third top 10 album. Following their sold out homecoming show at MEN Arena to 17,000 people last December, the band toured the UK in March with a sell-out tour including a show at London's Brixton Academy. This was followed in the summer with second headline performances at UK festivals including Glastonbury, T in the Park and V Festival, giving the band their biggest festival slots yet. A key live moment came in July with two sold out shows at Manchester's Castlefield Bowl with support from the likes of Miles Kane and The Strypes and a recent acoustic sold out headline tour for lead singer Liam Fray in September, brings us up to date on a year of huge achievements for the band.

New single 'Are You In Love With A Notion?', which is a firm live favourite for Courteeners, is a euphoric yet melancholic anthem which continues the album's theme of love. The black and white beautifully shot video for the single shows a couple going back in time and doing things differently and is one of the best Courteeners videos yet. B-Sides for the single include a remix by PSA and an acoustic version.

Full December tour dates are as follows: -

Mon 2nd Preston 53 Degrees

Tues 3rd London 02 Shepherd's Bush Empire

Thurs 5th Middlesbrough Empire

Fri 6th Lincoln Engine Shed

Sat 7th Birmingham Academy

Mon 9th Hull University

Tues 10th Aberdeen Music Hall

Weds 11th Glasgow Barrowlands

Fri 13th Manchester Phones 4U Arena
