Old school 60s beats, funk, Northern Soul, Motown, Jamaican ska, reggae and black R&B can all be heard upstairs at The Doctors Tonic on Friday night from 8.30pm.
Shredded
Beats takes place every other month in The Green Room.
Since
the club night started in 2010, Shredded Beats has become well-known, not only
to WGC lovers of the marvellous sounds of the 60s and 70s, but way beyond.
A club
spokesperson said: “While we love our regulars from Hertfordshire’s Mod / Scooter
Scene and Rude Boys, we are also always very happy to see new faces, both young
and old, enjoying themselves to great soulful music.
“We play
classic 60s soul, black R&B, funk, Northern, Motown, Jamaican ska and
rocksteady all on vintage vinyl 45s and pride ourselves on our authentic retro
club musical experience.”
With
Shredded Beats’ residents spinning classic tracks and rare grooves and regular
guest DJs playing everything from rock ‘n’ roll, garage punk, exotica and more,
organisers want to see you on the dance-floor.
Entry is
free and the 18 plus club night runs from 8.30pm to midnight.
