Pretty Green unveil new Paisley print collection reports GQ

Since Liam Gallagher set-up Pretty Green back in 2009, his "modern mod" menswear line has continued to draw inspiration from some of the most stylish guys in the Sixties and Seventies music - especially Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. What do all these men have in common? They're all big fans of wearing paisley, which is why you'll see the pattern crop up continuously in Pretty Green's collections - and never more so than in its latest.

Over the years the label has become known for commissioning its own versions of the print, and applying it to the inside of many of its garments. However, this season they're going all-out, with a new riff that features heavily on the outside of a series of items.

We know what you're thinking - isn't paisley the kind of pattern only the boldest guys can pull off? Well, if you're talking about big, bold multicoloured prints - such as the shirts in this range - then you should stick to our golden rule: if your shirt shouts, the rest of your outfit should whisper (pair it up with classic, block-coloured items). However, there are also single-coloured items in this collection that are perhaps easier for menswear rookies to slide into their existing wardrobes.

That said, if you can't think of an event you'd wear paisley to, Pretty Green has still got you covered with a bright iPhone 6 case - proof that even the most conservative guys can get on board with the pattern by slipping it into their inside pockets.
