Universal
is hoping that audiences will shake their money makers at movie theatres this
summer. The studio has set Tate Taylor's James Brown movie, "Get On
Up," for release in August. The film's first trailer arrived on Thursday,
promising all the singing, dancing, screaming and crying that's expected from
traditional music biopics. Taylor, who last directed "The Help" to a
Best Picture nomination, has an all-star cast in line for this one including
Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Dan Aykroyd and, in the role of Brown, Chadwick
Boseman. The young actor is building quite a resume of historical figures: he
played Jackie Robinson in last year's "42."
