Thunderbird 4 travels down the River Thames as International Rescue take over London

Thunderbirds Are Go...and they're taking over London.

As fans eagerly await Thunderbirds Are Go!, the Tracy Brothers' underwater vehicle has come to the capital.

Fans of the classic TV show were no doubt delighted to see at replica of Thunderbird 4 float down the River Thames on Wednesday to celebrate the upcoming ITV remake.

The new TV series sees the Tracy Brothers back on the small screen, and to mark the occasion a 15ft version of the iconic underwater vehicle travelled down the longest river in England.

Thunderbird 4 was manned by Gordon Tracy and carried aboard Thunderbird 2 in the original series in the 1960s.

The craft was seen floating down the river, with Tower Bridge looming.

Last month, the trailer for the series finally landed ahead of its launch this weekend.

The remake features a star cast with the likes of Rosamund Pike taking on the part of Lady Penelope, and original voice actor David Graham reprising his role as Parker.

* Thunderbirds Are Go! starts on Saturday 4 April at 5pm on ITV.
