Royale
Records in conjunction with Ace Face Barbers present their first Alldayer at
the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham on Saturday 23rd February. It
will run from midday through to 2am and entry will be £10.00.
Live
acts currently confirmed are The Karla Milton Collective, The Electric Stars,
The Universal, Mr Bridger, The Swagger, The Magnetic Mind, Mrs England, The
Lemontops, The Coopers & The Loop. Plus the label’s latest signing ...Danny
Apple playing an acoustic set.
DJ's for
the day will be legendary Mod scene DJ Paul J Hallam, Ian Jackson (Blow Up),
Glen Goodwin (Hole in The Wall Soul Club & Stax of Soul), Nic Dunnaway
(Tangmere Popular Front), Glyn Preece, Cliff Brewer plus Royales very own
"Toxic Twins" Sean Oakes & Hipster Lee plus The Club a Go Go DJ's.
DJ's
will be playing the finest in 60's & Northern Soul, R&B, Jazz, Psych
and Freakbeat, Ska n Reggae, plus a smattering of Britpop era and contemporary
sounds.
We are
also promised a clothing and merchandising market, vinyl and CD bars, a raffle
and prizes for the furthest/best scooter.
The
venue has two rooms, the larger is for the live acts and DJ's and the smaller
is for DJ's only. In the evening the second room is going to be used for the
Club a Go Go night.
