annual March of the Mods event which will raise money for the Teenage Cancer
Trust.
The
impressive procession was led by a classic TVR classic sports car down Church
Street and to The Staincliffe Hotel which will be the venue for the main event
on Friday, March 27.
Kev
McGuire, one of the organisers of March of the Mods, said: “All these great
scooter clubs have been helping us since day one. “People met up with old
friends and hopefully they will have met new people and made new contacts.
“It was
awesome that they gave up their time on a weekend to come along and support the
event.
This
year’s March of the Mods promises to be another brilliant day with 11 bands and
eight DJs taking over The Staincliffe.
Gary
Shail, who played Spider in the 1979 cult Mod film Quadrophenia, will be one of
the guest DJs and will sign fans’ memorabilia.
One room
will be set aside this year for fans of Northern Soul music.
