Wilko
Johnson and Roger Daltrey are to release a joint album, Going Back Home, on
March 10 on the Chess label.
The
album features 11 tracks, 10 of which are Johnson originals from both his Dr
Feelgood days and solo years, alongside a version of Bob Dylan’s "Can You
Please Crawl Out Your Window".
Johnson
and Daltrey will perform tracks from the album at a one off show at The O2
Shepherds Bush Empire on February 25.
The
album was recorded in November, 2013 in a week, using Johnson's touring band of
Blockheads' bassist Norman Watt-Roy and drummer Dylan Howe, with Dexy’s keyboardist
Mick Talbot guesting. It was produced by Dave Eringa.
